The Chairman, Sandy Hay and Directors of the Perthshire Agricultural Society invite you to attend Perth Show, which will take place on the South Inch, Perth on the 6th and 7th August 2010
Perth Show is 147 years old has been running for well over 100 years within the city of Perth. Originally being a one day show it developed into a two day event due to its popularity, drawing in the region of 20,000 people over the two days.
The first day, Friday, is the Light-Legged Horse day attracting exhibitors from all over Scotland and the north of England. Saturday is the main agricultural day attracting exhibitors and visitors from near and far.
On Saturday judging of livestock all morning is followed by the Grand Parade of the prize winners in all the livestock sections. This is a spectacular display of animals and helps achieve the Chairman and Directors objective of bringing town and country together.
The Grand Parade is followed by main ring entertainment and this year we have The Royal Artillery Motor Cycle Display Team travelling in the arena at speeds of 100 mph whilst completing daring manoeuvres.
There are over one hundred and fifty trade stands with a variety of products to suit both farming and non farming visitors. Many companies have generously sponsored and supported the show in recent years and the Society is indebted to our main sponsors and to all who sponsor the Perth Show without their assistance it would not be possible to stage such a popular two day event. The Chairman hopes you will be able to visit Perth Show in 2010 and for any further information please do not hesitate to contact us.
